Teams of Volunteers

The teams of Medics without Vacation that leave on mission are multidisciplinary. This means that each team consists of different medical profiles, such as medical specialists, nurses, midwives, physiotherapists, laboratory technicians, specialists in hospital management and technicians. All these (para)medics do voluntary work during their holidays in order to exchange knowledge and experiences with their African colleagues.

The composition of the team is determined together with the local partner hospital and depends of course upon the type of mission.
